Stay tuned to learn more about “The Land Speaks”, a new title published by Kegedonce Press that Jadyn wrote and illustrated.

The Land Speaks is a picture book that follows a young child who spends time with her moshôm (grandpa) at a special spot on the land. Together, they notice the changing seasons, lay tobacco, listen to the animals, and learn how the land speaks when you take time to be still.

By the end, the child returns to the spot without her grandpa, carrying both grief and the comfort of his words. She comes to understand that his teachings continue to live on and in the land, the animals, and her own remembering.
